Google+ Collections makes its way to iOS

Google's bringing its Pinterest competitor to iOS. Google+ Collections is now available on iOS, which means the Google+ users on Apple's ecosystem can now curate their feeds and have them be filled with images and conversations that are to your liking. Yes, just like image-heavy Pinterest. We're not sure if it'll help in trying to revive Google's dying social network but if you're still on it, you might appreciate the additional feature.

Apple briefly pulls hit iOS game 'Monster Strike' for bypassing in-app purchase system

For a short time over the weekend, Apple pulled the Japanese-developed Monster Strike game from its App Store after they found out Mixi, the game's developer, was trying to get around Apple's in-app purchase system. The game was down from 5:30 pm on the Saturday of August 29 and went back up around 1 am on Sunday. It's said the app may have lost around US$600,000 in revenue.

It was said Apple found a "serial code input form" inside the game that gamers can input into the app to get currency or special items. These can be bought on websites or through referrals. But this bypasses Apple's requirement that you can't sell anything outside of its in-app system, because basically you're cutting them out of profit and the 30 percent revenue they get from all activity within the App Store. The move can be seen as a stern warning from Apple to not bypass its rules.

Apple renews push in the enterprise market with Cisco partnership

Apple and Cisco have partnered to help make iOS devices and apps more compatible with Cisco's networks and provide what they say is a "more unique collaboration" on the iPhone and iPad on its corporate tools. The two companies aim to make iOS devices work more efficiently with Cisco's services and tools such as Cisco Spark, Cisco Telepresence, and Cisco WebEx. They aim to make work collaboration more seamless. This partnership can be seen as a big deal for both companies but especially for Apple as they try to make more headway in the enterprise industry.

Get rid of all distractions on your Android device with ClearLock

Sometimes you just need to be intentional when it comes to “taking back your productivity.” So, having apps like ClearLock is sure to help you out a bit. This Android app can block any app you deem distracting for a set amount of time. When you first launch ClearLock, you’ll have to choose which apps to block and how long you want to block them. Once it is set, ClearLock will block any attempts for you to access it. The only way you can circumvent the block is force restarting your phone entirely. And wouldn’t that just be too troublesome if you just wanted to check if you have any new Facebook notifications?
