.klatz smart bracelet turns into handset to pick up calls

Unless you are a Dick Tracy wannabe, talking to your smartwatches wouldn’t appeal to many. That’s where the Indiegogo project .klatz comes in. The smart bracelet doubles as a handset for talking on the phone. While it only has a 384-LED display, it promises a giant battery (which might be at least 600mAh) to last for 10 days. You can check out information on the project at the link below.

Report surfaces about Microsoft’s plans to unveil a wearable device in the coming weeks

It looks like there would be another contender into the wearable device ring. This time around, Microsoft is rumoured to be unveiling its smartwatch in the coming weeks. The wearable will reportedly track its wearer’s heart rate and work on different mobile platforms. But its biggest edge would be it promises more than two days of battery with regular use. This will definitely put it ahead of its competitors that are only able to deliver a day’s use for their smartwatches. If this report is to be believed, this will be Microsoft’s first foray into the wearable tech market under CEO Satya Nadella.

Yahoo unveils new Flickr app for iPad

Yahoo-owned Flickr used to only be available on iPhones on iOS operating system. Now, it has a new iPad app that can support the Retina display of the old iPad Air and iPad mini as well as the new iPad mini and iPad Air 2. However, Flickr 3.2 app will only work with iOS 8. What you will get is the ability to see “up to 3,000,000 pixels per photo.” That number is roughly the amount of pixels on the devices’ 2048 x 1056 screens. You can view your Flickr feed in landscape and portrait, take photos with your iPad, and add live filters and histogram to your shots.
