Line launches iPad app for messaging, doesn’t have voice or video call functions

Looking to be an extension of its popular messaging app, Japanese company Line introduced the iPad version of its app. But it seems to be missing a number of key features from its iPhone version, including the ability to make video and voice calls and create new accounts. It doesn’t seem to have a Sticker Shop and Timeline support as well. We hope they remedy even just those latter features. But if you need to be messaging someone on Line and just have your iPad with you, then the app should work fine for you.

Potential app shows you battery life of your devices

It’s perfectly normal to be carrying two or more devices on a daily basis. Now, you couldn’t possibly keep track of the battery life of all of those? Paranoid Gems introduced its new Potential app that will let you monitor the battery status of your devices. It syncs via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and checks on the battery levels of your gadgets. It will notify you when one of them is running low. It will even let you disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your devices. You just need to make sure you are logged into your account on all your gadgets. The app, however, is on beta mode so be prepared to encounter bugs.

One Handed Keyboard makes life easier for iPhone 6 Plus users

Been craving the extra screen real estate of the iPhone 6 Plus but miss being able to type single-handedly? One Handed Keyboard app helps you with that issue. This keyboard replacement helps you type easily with one hand, no matter if you’re left- or right-handed. The app lets you switch back and forth or switch it back to normal full width. The color of the keyboard even switches between available themes depending on what app you are using.  It does, however, take out iOS 8 predictive text and replaces it with basic auto-correct function.
