Microsoft adds more control to Surface Pro 3’s pen with Surface Hub

Find that you have too little control over the Surface Pro 3’s pen? Microsoft has just launched the Surface Hub app to allow you to customize the pen’s pressure sensitivity and its top button. And while it covers the basics, there are a bunch of features missing, too. There is no fine-grained sensitivity tuning yet (meaning those artists who want more detailed sketches can’t do that yet); it won’t launch the app you like; and the side buttons are off-limits. Of course, Microsoft is willing to work with you to remedy this. They said they would add features based on feedback so best let them know what you think so you can get more out of the pen.

Google starts roll out of Nearby Players feature for Play Games

Google has had plans to launch a Nearby Players feature for its Games hub and now it seems to be rolling out to users at random. Android Police reports that gamers from Mexico and Italy have been seeing the new feature crop up on their devices. Nearby Players is as it sounds like. It lets you know if someone in your vicinity is playing the game you are playing. It can be customized to show anyone using an Android or just those in your Google+ circles. It will let you look for new multiplayer matches in compatible games either through the usual online matchmaking system or from those in your area. Of course, if you don’t want to broadcast your gaming activities to those around you, you can opt out of this as well.

Twitter partners with French bank to allow for money transfers through tweets

In a move that’ll help them generate more income outside of advertising, Twitter has partnered with French bank Groupe BPCE to let its customers transfer money via tweets. Considered the second largest bank by customers in France, Groupe BPCE said they would allow simple person-to-person money transfers on the social network to its French consumers, regardless of the banks they use and without requiring the sender to know their recipient’s banking details.

The bank’s S-Money service will administer the payments. This service allows money transfers via text message and makes use of credit card industry’s data security standards. No further details have been divulged ahead of their news conference in Paris on Tuesday.

Microsoft OneDrive on iOS adds Touch ID and PIN code support

Looking to make your files stored on the cloud safe from unwanted eyes, Microsoft has updated its OneDrive app on iOS to add some security features. The app now has Touch ID support to let you sign into app. You can also use a PIN code to prevent other people from tampering with files on your phone.

The app now also lets you sort files and folders by name, date, or size in ascending or descending orders. And for those using the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the OneDrive has been adjusted to accommodate the larger screens.
