Get rid of your online accounts with Justdelete.me

A lot of sites make their account deletion process as hard to find as possible. That’s why UK-based pair Robb Lewis and Ed Poole created a simple but indispensable resource called Justdelete.me. The site is a directory of links where you can say goodbye to a myriad of online services and it also shows you who simple or impossible it is to delete your account on these websites.

Google updates Search with synonyms and translation

Google made a quick announcement on its Google+ page about a new update for finding definitions using Search. When you enter “define:” followed by the word you want defined or use Voice Search to inquire about definitions, synonyms of the word will appear as well as examples of how to use the word.

Also, a dropdown menu for the word you asked for will now have a translate feature. Once you select a language, all your future searches will be translated into that language in that section below the dropdown. You can change your preferred language any time, of course. Both features are available on desktop and mobile versions.

avast! Mobile Premium secures your smartphone further

It’s all well and good that you can track lost phones and wipe data remotely, if needed. But what if you can sound an alarm or take photos and record sounds of the thieves as well? The new avast! Mobile Premium does just that. This paid version of the Android mobile security app has a Geofencing feature that lets users define the radius of a location they will be at for a certain time. When this is activated, the alarm will sound off if anyone tries to take the phone beyond the prescribed perimeter. It also has Password Check that locks the phone if the wrong password is entered three times in a row and an App Locking feature. Mobile Premium also easily backs up your personal information and files.

avast! Mobile Premium is up for download on the Google Play Store and costs $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year.
