Moto Z2 Play is now in Canada

Motorola just unveiled its newest smartphone, the Moto Z2 Play, and the said device is now available in Canada. With a retail price of around CA$800, the Moto Z2 Play gets an extra Moto Mod in the box, while supplies last, that is. If you get the unit through Bell Mobility, Bell MTS, Freedom Mobile, and SaskTel, this device gets the new JBL SoundBoost 2 included with it—giving you an additional value of $114.99. The new Moto TurboPower Pack Mod and Moto GamePad are said to be coming this summer.

The Moto Z2 Play now comes in a thinner, lighter, all-metal unibody design and has a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and a water-repellant coating. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 2.2GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and promised battery life of up to 30 hours on a single charge. TurboPower charging tech promises up to eight hours of battery life in just 15 minutes. Its 12-megapixel rear camera combine laser and dual autofocus and promises to capture 25 percent more light than the previous generation.

The BlackBerry KeyOne is coming to Canada next month

The TCL-manufactured BlackBerry KeyOne will be making its way to this part of the world next month. It’ll be coming to Canada first on May 18th and will be available through Bell, Bell MTS, Rogers, SaskTel, and TELUS Business for $199 with a two-year contract. It’ll be making its way to the US as well at the end of next month for US$549. They will be selling unlocked versions in the US but Sprint will be offering the device later this summer.

The KeyOne takes inspiration from the BlackBerrys of old with its own physical keyboard. It’s an Android 7.1 Nougat-powered smartphone that runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. It has a 4.5-inch touch display, 12-megapixel camera, and 3,505mAh battery. The KeyOne also comes with BlackBerry’s suite of productivity apps.

LG brings G4 Vigor to Canada

LG’s new mid-range smartphone is now available in the country through SaskTel, Videotron, and Virgin Mobile.  The LG G4 Vigor packs in a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 4G LTE capability, and an 8MP camera with LG’s Colour Spectrum Sensor and Laser Auto Focus tech as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter. And in case you’re wondering, the camera on this phone also has the newly-introduced Manual Mode. It has 8GB internal storage and 1.5GB RAM. It comes with a removable 2,300mAH battery. There's no price yet from SaskTel, Videotron offers it for as low as $29.95 on a two-year contract and $329.95 outright, and Virgin Mobile offers it for free on a two-year contract and $349.99 outright.

HTC One (M9) arriving in Canada on Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, and Videotron early spring

The HTC One (M9) flagship smartphone is coming to Canada early Spring and is a lock for carriers like  Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, and Videotron. Pricing hasn't been revealed but it should be along the lines of most flagship devices available on two-year contracts.

he HTC One M9 will be available with a range of unique and customizable accessories including the second generation HTC Dot View case, which adds more retro personalization thanks to a host of new features and colour options.

Am updated version of the HTC Dot View can handle alerts from Instagram, Snapchat and Badoo with through-the-case notifications.

A new IP68 water resistant Active Case and Active Headset is also coming for the new HTC One.
