The 'Resident Evil Village' VR mode will launch with the Sony PSVR2 as a free update

Source: Capcom

Get ready to scare yourself in virtual reality with Resident Evil Village's VR mode, which will launch alongside the PlayStation VR 2 in February. According to Capcom, it'll be a free update for owners of the game. You can play the game's entire campaign in virtual reality and use the PSVR2's new Sense controllers. But you won't be able to use it for the more arcade-y Mercenaries mode or the recently-released story expansion Shadows of Rose. The PSVR2 is launching on February 22, 2023.

Avoid unplowed streets with Waze's Snow Warning feature

The first big storm of the season is coming, so here's a quick reminder to take advantage of Waze's Snow Warning feature. It can let you know when you're approaching a road flagged as unplowed. It works similar to how other hazards are flagged on the crowd-sourced navigation app. You can report unplowed roads by tapping to update the map, then Hazards > Weather > Unplowed road.

During Toronto's last big storm in January 2022, weather hazards reported by Waze drivers went up 8.6%. That included unplowed roads, fog, hail, flood, and ice. And Toronto traffic tracked dropped 21.7% compared to the preceding days.

Google Docs update makes it easier to show code

Source: Google

An update coming to Google Docs will make code formatting easier on the app. It plans to add code blocks to its "smart canvas" system that will automatically add proper spacing and colour-coding for programming languages like Python, Javascript, and C. You needed add-ons before to make this possible. But now, it'll be much easier to display code properly for documentation. The feature is accessible through Insert > Building Blocks > Code Block and then selecting the relevant language. You can also type "@project assets" into your documents to pull up the menu.

It might take some time for the feature to roll out, though. Google says some users may not even have access to it by January 18, depending on their Workspace settings. This is also only available to specific subscription tiers. If you’re using a personal Google account, a legacy G Suite account, or various Essential and Starter Workspace tiers, you won’t have access to it.

How to get your hands on a Heineken "Closer" device

I'm feeling the pressures of the holidays. Meeting deadlines, last minute urgent projects (why are they always so last minute?!), along with all the other pressures that come with the holiday season. You know? Like showing up to gatherings with co-workers, friends, and family. Then, there's the shopping. But we all know that we need to take time for ourselves.

At somepoint we just need to shut it all down.
