It has a great library of available books, newspapers and magazines plus the perfect handheld and touch-based for factor that's ideal to take anywhere. Adobe releases Edge beta, a new HTML5-based animation tool

Adobe recently released the beta of Adobe Edge, a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5 (Hypertext Markup Language for describing Web pages), JavaScript (the programming language used for Web apps), and CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets for formatting and animation effects).

While Flash is a huge part of Adobe's business, we learned during interviews with Mark Anders (above) this year that HTML5 animation and motion graphics is also something that Adobe is working on supporting. What's the big deal with HTML5, it is an emerging standard that should work on all platforms without any plugins so it can be even more ubiquitous than Flash in the long run. Samsung blocked from selling Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia

Australians wanting to buy Samsung's new Galaxy Tab 10.1" inch will have to wait or buy the Android tablet elsewhere. This is a result of a court injunction won by Apple against Samsung. This means Samsung can't sell the tablet “until [Samsung] wins court approval or the lawsuit is resolved,” according to a report by Bloomberg.

The Apple Beat: Interest in iPhone 5 surges

A number of iPhone 5 related stories have come up during the last few days.  From purported leaked photos of the device, some third party cases and myriad mockups, interest is surging for this yet unnanounced product. Many are speculating on what the next revision of Apple's iPhone is going to look like, what features it is going to have and how it is going to compete with this year's crop of superphones.
