Thousands of hacked Disney+ accounts are on sale on dark web

Disney+ users have taken to social media to complain about the hack

Just hours after Disney launched the Disney+ streaming service, some users have found themselves locked out of their accounts, with their account information changed. ZDNet reports that thousands of these accounts are up for sale on the dark web. The posts on hacking forums showed the type of subscription and when the account expires. The prices ranged from US$3 (around CA$4) to US$11 (CA$15), with many being offered for free.

Disney told MobileSyrup that there had been no security breach and that they take "privacy and security of our users' data very seriously." Access to these accounts probably happened to some people who like to use the same password for multiple accounts. And without two-factor authentication, no added security verifies a login. Disney+ just launched on November 12 in Canada, the United States, and the Netherlands, with over 10 million subscribers gained in the first 24 hours.

EvanTubeHD visits Nintendo Switch Playhouse in Toronto

Nintendo Canada recently hosted its annual holiday preview event but this year was a little different. It was the first year they turned an entire historical house on Church Street in Toronto into a multi-level fun house and aptly named it the Nintendo Switch Playhouse.

Brimming with larger than screen life characters, gaming stations with the opportunity to play the latest Nintendo Switch Games including Luigi Mansion 3, RingFit Adventure, and Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield all to get us excited for the holiday season. (Hey, Santa, this momma needs the RingFit game!). The supersized Playhouse also extended the fun to a few lucky families to explore and get firsthand experience with the new titles.

One of the biggest highlights was having kid YouTube sensation EvanTubeHD in attendance. Evan is considered one of the biggest YouTube stars on the planet. The 13-year-old has been sharing toy reviews online ever since he was 6 years old. How big of a star is he? How about 11.6 million followers across his three YouTube Channels, big. Judging by the look on my nephew’s face, this was a mega deal. Evan and his family travelled to Toronto recently to meet with fans at the Nintendo Switch Playhouse and we had the opportunity to chat with him during his visit.

Google Maps will let you follow Local Guides to discover hidden gems

Who else knows more about a city than its inhabitants? At least that is what Google Maps hopes to offer you with a new feature it is testing out. You will soon be able to follow Local Guides to find where the best places to eat are in the city you're visiting. Their recommendations will show up on the map as well as in your For You tab. The test will launch in nine cities first: Bangkok, Delhi, London, Mexico City, New York City, Osaka, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo. It might be worth checking out if you find yourself in these areas in the future.

Air Canada introduces interactive airport maps in redesigned app

Air Canada launches its new iOS and Android app, bringing with it new features to help ease your airport and airline experience. One of the latest features is interactive airport maps for Toronto Pearson International Airport, Montreal Trudeau International Airport, and Vancouver International. A first for a Canadian airline, the map shows things like flight connections, gates, restaurants, bathrooms, and the closest Air Canada lounge. If you need estimated walking times, that's available, too.

The airline's app launch also lays the groundwork for the introduction of its new loyalty program launching in the new year. Some of the other things you can do in the app include booking flights, checking flight status, managing trips, and checking-in. The app was developed entirely in Canada by Air Canada's technology team.
