Gwyneth Paltrow is ready to retire her Marvel character

Looks like Chris Evans isn't the only one ready to hang his Captain America suit. According to actress Gwyneth Paltrow's interview with Variety, she plans to retire her role as Pepper Potts after Avengers: Endgame. “I mean, I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” Paltrow, 46, told Variety. “I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friend with [Iron Man director] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first ‘Iron Man’ and then to watch how important it has become to fans."

She has said she'd be open to doing cameos and the like. “I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” she said. “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me.”

Samsung lets users remap Bixby button on S10 and other Android Pie-powered phones

Dieter Bohn / The Verge

Samsung has finally conceded and is letting users remap the Bixby button to their third-party app of choice. There's now a built-in setting that will let you assign a third-party app to open either with a single or double press. Whatever option you don't choose will be given to Bixby. For example, if one press will open Spotify, then a double press will open Bixby. Now, holding down the button will trigger Bixby Voice, no matter what.

According to The Verge, Samsung will reportedly let owners of the S8, S9, and Note 8 and Note 9 with Android Pie and One UI customize the Bixby button as well.

Microsoft brings Timeline support to Chrome via new extension

Microsoft's Windows 10 Timeline feature lets you sync your Microsoft Edge browsing and app history between your Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices. Now, Chrome users are getting the capability, too, with a new extension. Called Web Activities, the extension syncs your Chrome browsing history across your Windows 10 devices through the operating system's built-in Timeline Viewer. Chrome already syncs your browsing history between your Chrome sessions. But if you want a simpler view of your browsing history on your Windows 10 machine, you'd like this extension. Task View can be accessed in your taskbar or by pressing the Windows Key + Tab.

Samsung Galaxy S10's stock camera app gets Instagram mode

Instagram’s Head of Product Adam Mosseri onstage at the Galaxy Unpacked event

It's been a common gripe that Instagram users on Android don't get a good experience on the app as Apple users do. Samsung and Instagram are hoping to change that for their users. The stock camera app on the Galaxy S10 will get a new Instagram mode. It's as accessible as the other modes you can see in the stock app. It'll let you shoot and upload directly to your Instagram stories. You can add stickers, use Instagram's editing tools, add text, hashtag, and more. Samsung claims it's the “best Instagram experience on a smartphone.”

Aside from that, Samsung is also sharing its camera tech via an open SDK for the camera app, allowing developers to use these new features in their own apps. Samsung announced partnerships with Snapchat, Snow, and Lime, promising its users can take as good photos in these apps as they would in the native camera app.
