San Francisco - An important part of Lenovo Tech World is the unveiling of concept devices sporting new technologies. The CPlus concept is a bendable smartphone that can be worn as a bracelet and is a cross between wearable and mobile device. Lenovo is looking at ways to enable devices to bend not just the display but all the components inside. The CPlus is very much a concept device and won't survice the rigours of day to day use but still promises a more flexible future.

See Lenovo's Phab 2 Pro Tango phablet in action

San Francisco: Lenovo brought out a big gun today at their Tech World event in San Francisco. With a whopping 6.4-inch QHD display, four cameras and sensors for augmented reality and sensing plus a bevy of flagship smartphone features, this gargantuan device is the first to showcase Google and Lenovo's Tango technology which makes smartphones capable of navigating with spaces using sensors.

In the above demo, the Phab 2 Pro is used to play a game of virtual dominos and shows just how accurate the digital constructs overlaid on real world surfaces can be. The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is one of the largest and heaviest phablets we've had a chance to try but it does offer some unique capabilities. It comes in the fall for US $499.

Lenovo launches Moto Z and MotoZ Force smartphones and motomods modules

San Francisco- Lenovo has launched its most revolutionary range of smartphones with the thin and sleek Moto Z and the tough Moto Z Force. Also announced here were MotoMods which are magnetic modeluar add-ons that can turn the phones into a projector, a JBL soundboost speaker as well as an extended battery pack with up to 22 hours of battery life. Canada will be getting the Moto Z but not its more robust Moto Z Force, these devices are expected to come in September.

Lenovo believes that smartphones are limited by their size, so offering modular functionality in easy to connect, MotoMods will offer various backplates made from wood, leather, plastic and other finishes. Lenovo has also opened up a motomods developer community for expanding the functionality of the Moto Z.
