By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

San Francisco: Lenovo and Google have released the first Augmented Reality enabled smartphone called the Phab 2 Pro which comes in September for US $499. Using four cameras as well as AR sensors, the device can know its location inside buildings, recognize and measure physical objects as well project animations and on screen to create mixed reality scenarios.

Potentially game changing,Tango devices built in unison by Google and Lenovo elevate what smartphones can do as well as extend their functionality beyond two dimensions. During the demos here, we saw how Tango can generate graphics and characters into reality, how it can measure and help approximate 3D dimensions. Another demo showed how, using an app for Lowe's furniture store, it is possible to virtually redesign a home's interior before even purchasing fixures, rugs or surfaces.

Devour or savour? Netflix reveals global binging habits

Google's Larry Page reportedly backing flying car project to the tune of $100 million

Reported designs of flying car projects backed by Larry Page

It's 2016 and many of us are still amazed that we don't have flying cars but Google's Larry Page is hoping to change that. The founder has reportedly invested $100 million of his own money into making this dream come true.

Page, who is CEO of Alphabet which owns Google among other companies, is no stranger to moonshot projects but as a report from Bloomberg states, Page seems serious about getting flying cars made. With electric vehicles gaining popularity and with autonomous drivng technology coming as a result of this, flying cars aren't that far behind. Page is apparently working with two companies.  Zee.Aero, one of the reported companies, is apparently based out of Mountain View just minutes from Google HQ.
