Sony helps Tony Hawk show off sick moves in zero gravity

Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk isn’t a stranger to injuries gravity has inflicted on his 48-year-old body. In a promotional video for Sony, “The Birdman” shows off that he still has the moves (or at least the imagination) to pull off some interesting stunts while floating in weightlessness inside a Zero Gravity Corp. airplane, with him is fellow professional skateboard Aaron “Jaws” Homoki. Watch the video to see them pull off random flips and a “double-air spinaroo.” You’ll also get to see the Sony Action Cam floating alongside them. The clip was shot entirely with Sony’s 4K cameras, you can watch the behind-the-scenes clip here.

‘True Detective’ might be canceled soon

You don’t like to see this happening to your favorite shows but it looks like True Detective is next on the chopping block, if reports are to be believed. True Detective in its first season was met with critical acclaim and was a hit for HBO. Unfortunately, the second season was flop and wasn’t able to meet the expectations for the first season. And so there is a chance that this will happen when Casey Bloys, HBO’s former head of comedy, steps in for Michael Lombardo as head of programming. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bloys will be the one to decide the fate of the show. THR also claims that True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto is “more likely” to be offering a new show instead of trying to revive this show. A new season could happen but at this point we won’t be surprised if HBO decides to pass on it.

Spotify links now show up as 30-second clips on Twitter

You can say it’s a long time coming but finally, it’s here. Twitter is extending its Audio Cards feature to Spotify. It’s been almost a year since the feature came out and SoundCloud was the service of choice then. Now, for Spotify tracks you tweet, the link will also have a 30-second preview of the song. It can even show up in the curated Moments feed. You’ll be able to see these Audio Cards on the website as well as Android and iOS apps. Most of the tracks already show up this way but Twitter says the full rollout will be done in around one week.
