Google's Sundar Pichai expresses support for Muslims, slams intolerant discourse

It's so disheartening to see the intolerant discourse playing out in the news these days — statements that our country would be a better place without the voices, ideas and the contributions of certain groups of people, based solely on where they come from, or their religion.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has written an open letter in support of Muslims while slamming the 'intolerable discourse,'indirectly referring to  blustery Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Pichai brings a unique perspective since he himself is an immigrant who came from Madras, India 22 years ago and settled to study and work in the US.

Titled 'Let's not fear defeat our values,' the letter preaches tolerance and the advantages of different voices in running successful companies as well as nation building. Pichai is the latest recognized tech CEO who has weighed in on serious issues of equality. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg also gave his support to Muslims and Apple's Tim Cook famously expressed his support for minorities and he even penned an essay on bloomberg advocating for equality.

Twitter gets 1Password integration on iOS

It’s now much easier and safer to log into your Twitter iOS app. The app gets an update that adds 1Password integration to it. This will come in handy when you sign in multiple accounts or when you’re logging into Twitter for the first time on your mobile device. iOS users get first dibs though with Android hopefully getting the same feature soon.

OneDrive promo will let you keep your 15GB storage

In a baffling move, Microsoft plans to reduce its free storage from 15GB to 5GB. Of course, the immediate response wasn’t positive. So, Microsoft is backtracking somewhat with a new promotion that promises users they can keep their 15GB if they want it. And if you use Camera Roll Bonus, that is also another 15GB. But you have to opt-in before the end of January 2016. You can claim your storage from this link.
