Nokia rumored to be working on a Windows RT tablet

A Concept Nokia TabletIf Microsoft's Surface RT tablet does not float your boat, maybe Nokia's supposed take on the 10-inch Windows RT space might convert you. A new rumour suggests that Nokia's got a Windows RT tablet in the works and that it will bring a number of innovative features such as extra battery life from the keyboard cover and USB ports that serve as a kickstand. Nokia's not coonfirmed or denied the existence of such a device but we're weeks away from CES where we could likely get our first glimpse of what could be the most compelling reason to get into Windows RT. I think it would be awesome to see a tablet with the build and quality we've seen on the recent Lumia devices.

Facebook's Gifts leverages your connections, scopes out Amazon.com

Facebook has jumped into the Holiday spirit by offering users the opportunity to buy gifts for their friends. Facebook has been toying with the Gifts idea for some time but seems to be pushing full steam ahead this holiday season at least in the US. Hoping to take on highly successful e-tailers like Amazon.com, the new feature leverages people's connections on the social network. If it is someone's birthday or anniversary you get the option to send them a gift for real. The options vary from iTunes gift certificates to Starbucks cards to more expensive items. No indication if this will spread to Canada or the rest of the world but if it works out, we might be doing our gift shopping on Facebook next holiday season. First Impressions of Google's ARM Chromebook

Google's first ARM powered Chromebook, made by Samsung, is an intriguing new take at the personal cloud-connected notebook. Selling for $249 and available only in the US through online resellers like Amazon.com, Google says this is the Chromebook for everyone. Here  are my first impressions.
