L’Oréal expands its beauty tech-related portfolio with the introduction of the LED Face Mask, a prototype device that earned a 2026 CES Innovation Award. Developed in partnership with medical device company iSMART Developments, the ultra-thin, flexible silicone mask is designed to bring professional-grade light therapy into the home, with a focus on skin longevity and anti-aging.
The device uses a skin-safe microcircuit to precisely deliver two specific light wavelengths: red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm). According to L’Oréal, these wavelengths work in tandem to stimulate the skin at a cellular level, targeting fine lines, sagging, and uneven skin tone. Designed for seamless integration into daily routines, the mask features automatically timed 10-minute sessions.
While the LED Face Mask is currently in the prototype stage, L’Oréal expects a consumer rollout in 2027. Additional details, including final pricing and availability for the global market, will be released on loreal.com as development continues.
