Apple reportedly stopped Vision Pro development

Via: MacRumors

Apple has reportedly given up on developing its Vision Pro headsets, according to MacRumors. Citing unnamed insider sources, the tech site said the company received an "unusually high" percentage of returns, "far exceeding" any current Apple product. MacRumors noted that only 600,000 units were sold in total.

Even when the company released an updated version of the Vision Pro with a faster M5 chip and a more comfortable band, it failed to capture market interest. The team working on its development have supposedly been transferred to other projects, with the tech giant reportedly pivoting to developing its own version of smart glasses.
