There’s no a ‘God of War’ Netflix show happening for now

Rumours started to go around on social media that a God of War show was coming to streaming service Netflix. The TV show would reportedly have Jason Momoa as its star. However, the game’s director Cory Barlog was quick to refute the rumours, saying it isn’t happening. But he added at the end of that tweet, “I wonder if we should do something about that, @netflix?” This, of course, doesn’t confirm anything. Instead, it does seem that Barlog is thinking about it. If it does happen, who would you want to star in the show? Is this something you’d watch?

Samsung patent shows possible intro of face and iris scanning in future phones

Samsung has just been granted a patent by the US Patent Office for a 2014 filing of biometric camera that has both iris and 3D face recognition. This feature is designed to work in the dark and has eye tracking, too. We can’t say if it’ll show up in upcoming devices coming out soon, like the Galaxy Note 9. But we will be keeping an eye out for it in 2019.

Netflix to get rid of user reviews feature

Netflix is getting rid of its desktop-only user review system soon. It won’t be completely pulled out in one go, though. First, users will no longer be able to write reviews after July 30. And then in mid-August, the existing reviews will be taken out. According to Netflix spokesperson Smita Saran, members who use the feature have been notified about this change. Netflix says they are taking the feature down because of “declining usage over time.” It was only available to users of Netflix’s site and Saran said the written reviews didn’t affect the system it used to recommend shows and movies to you.

The streaming service has been constantly tweaking its feedback system. One of the latest changes they did was change how people can rate shows and movies with one to five stars into a simpler thumbs up or thumbs down.
