Samsung Gear Sport gets leaked ahead of rumoured IFA debut

With IFA just a few days away, we get a look at what looks like another wearable coming from Samsung. The Gear Sport (SM-R600) will supposedly have 5ATM waterproofing, which makes it suitable for taking on a swim. In the FCC schematics, you can see that it’s still similar looks-wise to other Gear smartwatches with its round screen. Not much is known from the leaked image. But it’s expected to be the first smartwatch to run on Tizen 3.0 and have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It’ll supposedly also have a heart rate sensor, as one would expect from a fitness tracker. We should be hearing more about this next week.

How Netflix is turning everyone into an influencer

It use to be called the power, or the art, of persuasion. That is, the act of getting people to do things that they may not have initially done themselves. But today, we often hear the term "influencer" and yes, we are all influencers amongst our circle of friends, family and co-workers. We don't want to miss out on something that sounds interesting!

New drone footage shows off an almost completed Apple Park

You can see how Apple’s new campus is coming together with new drone video shot by Duncan Sinfield. The main “spaceship” structure, which serves as the central office building, is looking almost complete with landscaping still being done around it. It looks like the solar panel array on the main building is complete already. While the Steve Jobs Theater, where the iPhone event is expected to happen next month, is still being constructed. But you get a glimpse at the two curved staircases that head down into the underground foyer. Other structures that seem to be done include the dual parking structures as well as the research and development offices.

Apple's next data centre in Iowa will run on 100 per cent renewable energy

Services like iMessae, Siri, App Store and iCloud make up some of the most profitable aspects of Apple's business and large data centres are what power these services.

Apple today announced plans to build a 400,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art data center in Waukee, Iowa, to better serve North American users of iMessage, Siri, the App Store and other Apple services. Like all Apple data centers, the new facility will run entirely on renewable energy from day one.

Apple’s investment of $1.3 billion will create over 550 construction and operations jobs in the Des Moines area, and the company is contributing up to $100 million to a newly created Public Improvement Fund dedicated to community development and infrastructure around Waukee.
