San Francisco, CA: We're a day away from what promises to be a huge Apple WWDC (World Wide Developer's Conference). The area around the Moscone Center is already abuzz with excitement as the familiar white Apple logo covers the steel and glass façade of this storied building.

Forgot where you put down your iPhone at home again? Download the Marco Polo app to make it easier to find your phone. Toronto-based designer and developer Matt Wiechec created the app with the game Marco Polo in mind—meaning you shout “Marco” and your phone will respond with “Polo.” Quite handy for those who perpetually lose their phone. There are 30 different voice options to choose from and you can customize the input phrase to whatever you want. The app is available worldwide on the iTunes store for US$0.99.

Samsung plans to release Tizen-based smart TVs, to release SDK for developers by July

Samsung wants to make its Tizen operating system as ubiquitous as possible. This time around they plan to integrate the Linux-based OS into their future smart television offerings. The Korean tech company will release the software development kit in July to give developers some time with the software. It will include features such as voice- and hand gesture-based commands and multi-screen options. Samsung, however, did not specify when Tizen-based TVs will be up for sale.
