Google Gemini turns your Google Docs files into podcasts

Ever thought of turning your Google Docs files into a podcast for some reason? Google Gemini is giving you that opportunity. The app will soon allow you to generate artificial intelligence-powered podcast-like overviews for the key highlights from your documents or have it read your words out loud. If you find it useful to have your writing read back to you, Google will roll out this feature to Workspace accounts in the coming weeks.

Aside from turning your writing into a podcast, Google Docs uses Gemini to help improve your writing. The app is getting a "help me refine" feature that can share suggestions on how to strengthen your writing, improve its structure, or ensure your key points are clearer. Google says it can also help with formatting consistency. The feature will be available in alpha later this quarter.

Google Sheets will use AI to help you analyze your data

If you're looking for on-demand analysts for the data you input in Google Sheets, Google plans to introduce a "Help me analyze" feature powered by its Gemini in Workspace. Google plans to roll it out later in the year and it will provide things like guidance to help you get started on analyzing data. It can help identify trends and suggest next steps. It can even create interactive charts to provide visuals for your data.

Walmart Canada delays preorders of Nintendo Switch 2

After initially announcing it would start preorders for Nintendo's newest console on April 9, Walmart Canada posted on social media that it would delay the preorder of the Nintendo Switch 2 to "align with the timing of preorders to be determined in the US."

The retailer said it would provide details at a later date. Nintendo delayed the preorders in the US last week because of the potential impact of the Trump administration's new tariffs.
