'Tetris Forever' brings classic 'Tetris' titles in this docu-game bundle

If you want to learn more about the history of Tetris while playing a few rounds of Tetris, you'd want to check out Tetris Forever. This newest documentary/game bundle from Digital Eclipse was announced at the Nintendo Direct event. Of course, it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch but it's also coming to the PC and other platforms later this year.

Tetris Forever gives you an interactive digital museum, complete with documentary clips about the game, and actual games you can play. This title includes 15 Tetris games, from an "accurate" version of the first Tetris for the Electronika 60 to an NES version, and more. There is also a new take called Tetris Time Warp, where you can jump "between gameplay styles from across the series" in real time as you compete against up to four players. There is no specific release date or pricing yet. But it's expected to come out this year.

Google tests Gemini Live support on Android Auto

Photo: Google

Google looks like it's working on some Android Auto features. One of them brings Gemini Live to cars and another adds support for "local media." A look at Android Auto's code shows a new string directly referencing a codename associated with Gemini and the ability to "start conversation." But it doesn't look like it's live yet. There are also added assets like "star" used for Gemini spotted in this version of Android Auto.

9to5Google reports Google is working on supporting car radio control through Android Auto. There are clues that it will support adding and removing "Favorite" stations through an app on Android Auto. And there are hints it will support "local media" from your car, too. There are also new icons for local media playback and radio but these haven't gone live yet. We have no idea if and when Google will roll out these features. But we're keeping our eye on it.
