The technology is the starting point and the iPhone is a powerful device with a good foundation but it is what you do with that technology that makes it a game changing experience. The latest Apple advert for the iPhone 5s is clever in that it shows what can be created with the iPhone, it is awesome because it uses the song 'Gigantic' by seminal alternative rock pioneers The Pixies.

Apple's full-page Earth Day advert jabs fun at copycat competitors 

 

Apple has followed up yesterday's video and section on its commitment to the environment with a full-page ad in newspapers. This time around, Apple found time to take a jab at competitors who have copied its ideas and products like Samsung. Using the same image of solar panels but with the headline "There are some ideas we want every company to copy." Apple and Samsung are currently in a court battle over various patent infringement cases. The gist of the advertising is that Apple would like to see other technology companies commit towards l;esseing their impact on the environment. An area where Apple now leads the industry.

Apple's 'Better' video kicks off company-wide commitment to the environment

As we approach Earth Day, Apple has put out information of how they are leading the charge towards caring for the evironment in the Environmental Responsibility section of their website. Starting off with a video above, narrated by CEO Tim Cook, Apple has revealed the various company-wide steps they have successfully taken to reduce their impact on the environment. Some examples of this are reducing the amount of packaging that goes into their products, having a new manufacturing facility that runs 100% on renewable energy, data centers that are powered by the sun and wind, and updated recycling program at Apple Retail Stores as well as eliminating toxins from products and processes.
