Video taken at IFA shows what the next iPhone could look like

It is September and we are getting closer to an Apple announcement pertaining to a phone that they make. The iPhone 4S was announced last October so an update is imminent. The next iPhone has been such a big story that we've seen mainstream media publishing stories based on rumours. The video above shows something cobbled together using existing parts. As with any rumour, take this with a pinch of salt and a shot of tequila. There are a few things that don't feel right about the mock-up, the font on the back and overall finish isn't very Apple-y but the design seems to fit in with some of the other stuff we've seen.

Breaking: Apple becomes most valuable company in history

Apple Inc. became the most valuable company in history earlier today when its valuation reached US $621.64 billion. Apple's stock reached an all time high of $664.65 per share Monday afternoon riding the expectations for a huge launch of  its as-of-yet-unannounced iPhone model for 2012.

Apple breaks the record set previously by rival Microsoft in 1999 when that company's value peaked at $618.9 billion.

Standard YouTube App to be dropped from iOS 6

Looks like the YouTube video App that's been one of the stock applications on all iOS devices will no longer be included as a default app in the next revision of Apple's iOS.

Apple has already replaced the Google Maps app with their own application and now the YouTube app is gone as well. Google is expected to make available a standalone version of YouTube that iOS users will need to download on their devices.

SourceCode: CTV delivers an Olympic viewing experience for web and mobile

I've been really impressed by how CTV has managed to optimize and deliver the 2012 London Olympics in various formats. The live feeds and recaps are a given on their various TV and cable channels but there is a wealth of content to be found online through the CTV website  or RDS in French, as well as their iOS and Android apps which give viewers in Canada unprecedented access to the games.
