Lines begin for iPhone 4S

Tomorrow is iPhone 4S day and already lines are starting to form in Apple Retail Stores everywhere. This year however, the mood is bittersweet. While expectation for the new iPhone remains high, Steve Jobs is very much in people's hearts and minds.

The Eaton Centre Apple Store has taken the appearance of a makeshift shrine. As of 6:30 PM, 14 hours before the Apple Store reopens to sell iPhones, there were around 40 people queued up and many others leaving Post It notes on the store's windows.

Wind Mobile users finally have a super smartphone with all the top specs on the Android fron to use on the network. The LG Optimus 2X  ($445) is LG's first dual core smartphone. Shipping with an older version of Android (2.2 FroYo) and with a 4-inch screen, dual cameras including an HD capable rear 8 megapixel camera, it is arguably the highest spec Android smartphone available on Wind's network.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 now available in Canada, $499 for 16GB model

Samsung Mobile Canada has announced that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now available in Canada. The WiFi-enabled tablet boasts a dual core processor and measures-in at just 8.6 millimeters, making it the world’s thinnest mobile tablet. The company also announced that a 4G version of the Samsung Tab 10.1 will also soon be available which supports data speeds of up to 21 Mbps.
