Hot Docs, North America's largest documentary film festival presents it's 24th annual edition from April 27 to May 7, 2017 in Toronto. There will be 230 documentary films from 58 countries at this year's festival. Hot Docs is known to feature thought-provoking, insightful and often infuriating titles to the city. Reelworld Film Festival expands powerful story telling in VR and Gaming

 

Reelworld Film Festival takes place at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, October 12 to 16, 2016. Now in its 16th year, the Festival not only continues to shine light on some of the most important issues we face globally, but is also moving forward with technology to expand its offerings to the public.

For the first time, Reelworld is including impactful VR and gaming into the fold. By using the latest technology with cutting-edge directors and content creators, the Festival offers different angles to raise awareness of what impacts our lives  through a variety of storytelling platforms.

The Digital Storytelling Zone at the Reelworld Film Fest offers visitors a chance to explore through immersive virtual reality films curated by HuffPost RYOT and  play games for change in the Hand Eye Society video game arcade.

Festival of International Virtual and Augmented Reality Stories coming to Toronto

Canada's first festival of its kind will host it's second annual viewing September 16-18, 2016. The Festival will showcase content producers and storytellers of virtual reality and immersive 360 degree videos. Microsoft kicks off 2016 Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto

Microsof's Worldwide Partner Conference kicked off in Toronto this week with 16,000 attendees from 144 countries and is expected to yield 145,000 onsite meetings. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella took to the stage to share how partners across various industries can leverage the Microsoft cloud to drive digital transformation. The Microsoft Worldiwde Partner conference, which sold out all tickets, runs until July 14, 2016.
