Report: Apple to commemorate 20 years of iPhone with iPhone 20 launch in 2027

Source: Apple

Apple is reportedly going to break convention and name its 2027 iPhone the iPhone 20, rather than the iPhone 19, as part of the smartphone's 20th anniversary celebration. Research firm Omdia's senior analyst, Heo Moo-yeol, asserted the claim, with reports indicating that the iPhone 20 will be released in the first half of 2027, rather than the usual fall launch. The tech giant will reportedly debut the iPhone 18e and the second-generation version of its rumoured iPhone Fold device.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 20 Air, iPhone 20 Pro, and iPhone 20 Pro Max are expected to be released in the second half of 2027. Another interesting note in the report is that Apple might drop its standard iPhone 18 model in 2026 and focus on its premium models, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Air, along with the first foldable iPhone.

Apple TV+ gets rebranded to Apple TV

Trio of Apple TVs

In what might be considered a somewhat confusing move, Apple has opted to rebrand its in-house streaming platform, Apple TV+. It will now just be called Apple TV. The change was spotted in a press release for the streaming launch of the F1: The Movie.

However, now Apple TV refers to three different things. One is the streaming service, the other is the app you stream from, and the set-top box. As GSMArena pointed out, the name change hasn't appeared on the Apple TV+—or should we say, Apple TV—landing page, yet.

Apple M5 chip-powered devices expected this week

Source: Apple

We might see the new MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro with the latest Apple silicon released this week. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, we should expect the upgraded tablet, a new Vision Pro with a redesigned strap, and a base model MacBook Pro—all powered by the Apple M5. Apple isn't expected to hold an event. Instead, it'll just have online announcements like they did last year.

Anker launches Nebula P1 projector with detachable wireless speakers

Source: Anker

If you have found the audio of portable projectors lacking, Anker has the solution for you. Anker created a more portable version of its Soundcore brand's Nebula X1 Pro, which was introduced at IFA 2025. The Nebula P1 comes in at just 5.3 pounds and has detachable 10W wireless speakers. The 1080p projector has 650 ANSI lumens of brightness and can project an image up to 180 inches.

Setting up should be easy with autofocus, automatic keystone corrections, and a built-in gimbal with 130 degrees of movement. While the speakers offer up to 20 hours of battery life, the projector needs to be connected to a power source to function. In Canada, the Nebula P1 retail price starts at CA$1,199.99.
