Twitter issues outright ban for revenge porn

Twitter now expressly prohibits users from posting revenge porn and other non-consensual intimate photos on its service. The social network has been under pressure to address harassment and abuse rampant on their platform. It’s a good thing they’ve set actual changes on their terms of service. We’re hoping the application is swift.

According to Twitter, “You may not post intimate photos or videos that were taken or distributed without the subject’s consent.” Violating this policy could get your account locked.

Play ‘Cards Against Humanity’ for free on your PC or mobile devices

Are you a fan of the game Cards Against Humanity? Well, now there’s a digital version of it created by Canada-based designer Dawson Whitfield.  It’s called Cards Against Originality, it’s a “shameless copy” of the original card game but it is allowed under the Creative Commons license that permits individuals to “use, remix, and share the game for free.” Aside from the original deck of cards, this online version also has the five expansion sets. You can play it on a smartphone, PC, or tablet. You just need to be in the same room to play. Tap the “new game” button and they’ll create a link you can share with your friends to join the game.

Android Wear tipped to be adding Wi-Fi support

Google is hoping to get ahead in the smartwatch game, if reports are to be believed. They’re reportedly working on adding Wi-Fi support to the Android Wear platform. This means the smartwatches can make use of features like Google Now without having to be paired via Bluetooth to a smartphone. Most of the Android Wear watches already have Wi-Fi built in. It’s just a matter of enabling it through a software update.

According to The Verge, enabling this feature is reportedly part of the next update for Google’s wearable platform. Gesture control will also reportedly be included. This means you just have to flick your wrist to scroll through notifications and Google Now cards. No word yet though on when the next Android Wear update will be coming out.
