'For All Mankind' to start shooting 2nd season 'soon'

Even before the first season drops on the upcoming Apple TV+ streaming service, we now know that sci-fi drama For All Mankind will be getting a second season. At a recent guesting on The Big Ticket podcast with Variety and iHeart, one of the show's stars, Joel Kinnaman, confirms the shooting for the second season will start in around two weeks. He said, "I'm amazed at what they created. They've done an incredible job with it, and it's just been such a pleasure shooting. I don't think I've been this excited to show something that I've done to people."

While the show isn't the first upcoming show to be renewed, it does give comfort for those who will watch the show once the service debuts next month that the second season should follow soon.

Apple reminds iPhone 5 owners to update devices before Nov. 3rd or lose ability to go online

If you're still one of the few using an iPhone 5, you better heed the full-screen alerts your device is getting that remind you to update to the latest available software. Apple is telling these users that they will use access to critical online features if they don't update to iOS 10.3.4 before 12 a.m. UTC on November 3rd. You will not be able to access essential apps and services like email, web browsing, iCloud, and the App Store. You will not be left entirely with an almost useless smartphone if you're unable to update by that date, though. But you will need to backup and restore to a computer through iTunes.

The update fixes a GPS time rollover issue that began in April, and it affects other older devices like the fourth-generation iPad. But those devices only lose GPS functionality. Only the iPhone 5 has a more significant issue.

Tile trackers now support Google Assistant

Google Assistant now works with your Tile tracker. You can now link the Bluetooth gadget through the Google Home app, where you can set up Voice Match in Assistant and ask the voice helper to locate the trackers for you. But instead of adding a prefix like "Ask Tile" every time, using a simple sentence would work. You can tell Assistant to ring your keys, bag, or any item attached to your TILE device. It will work on any Assistant-capable device. But for the initial setup, you will require you to have the Tile app installed on your Android or iOS device.

Adobe Creative Cloud exposed database left 7.5 million accounts vulnerable

One of the most important things you need to internalize about this latest issue is that you need to be wary of emails that look official and are asking you to log in to your Adobe Creative Cloud account. In case you missed the news, 7.5 million Adobe Creative Cloud accounts were exposed on the web. Comparitechtogether with security research Bob Diachenko, found an Elastisearch database that had email addresses and other Creative Cloud account information, and that these were accessible without a need for a password or other authentication.

The database was said to be accessible for around a week, but it isn't clear if anyone accessed it. When Comparitech and Diachenko reported the exposed database to Adobe on October 19th, the company secured it the same day. Thankfully, sensitive data—like passwords and payment information—weren't disclosed. And according to Adobe, it doesn't affect the operation of any Adobe core products or services.
