Microsoft Surface RT to go on sale for $199 on Black Friday at Best Buy

$199 for a first generation Microsoft Surface tablet isn't a bad deal. Best Buy Canada's flyer for Black Friday features last year's click-happy tablet at $150 off the current selling price. The Surface RT is the 32GB version and it will have Windows RT installed but can be upgraded to Windows RT 8.1. Microsoft Office Home and Student (RT version) are also included. I remember when boxed versions of Office cost around $199.

Apple would not comment about what they plan to do with PrimeSense’s offerings but we can speculate that you might get some interesting 3D motion capabilities from your Apple products.

Twitter adds age verification to keep young ones away from alcohol

Twitter introduced a screening-age feature for alcohol brands using the social network. Mashable reports that if you plan to follow Heineken on Twitter, you will get a direct message linking you to the age verification page. You will be given 24 hours to state your age and if you meet the requirement, you can then follow the brand. Other partners Twitter has for this feature include Bud Light, Bacardi, Jim Beam, and Knob Creek. The feature works on the web as well as Android and iOS apps.
