'Hogwarts Legacy' gets holiday season 2022 timeline release

The wait for Hogwarts Legacy has been long, and now we have a more specific(-ish) timeline. WB Games Avalanche said the delayed title will come out in holiday 2022. It was initially announced in late 2020 and scheduled for a 2021 release, but that got postponed to this year. We're now just waiting for an actual release date. The developer just shared a new trailer showing the look and a bit of the gameplay. 

Hogwarts Legacy is a spinoff of the Harry Potter universe. This story takes place long before the events of the books. We get a look at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1800s, and you'll be a player in your fifth year at the school. You'll learn spells, brew potions, tame wild beasts, grow magical plants, and go to classes. You get the ability to manipulate ancient magic, which will be crucial for helping save the wizarding world from its enemies. Hogwarts Legacy will be available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles.

Facebook's Ray-Ban Stories doubles recording time to 60 seconds

As Facebook brings its Ray-Ban Stories to more markets, the company updates the smart glasses to add new features. A significant update is the increase of its recording capability from 30 seconds to 60 seconds. Also, the Facebook View app adds language support for French, Spanish, German, and Dutch. The glasses can also now understand voice commands in French and Italian so that you can take photos and videos hands-free. And if its low batt or you've used up all its storage, the Ray-Ban Stories now has audible notifications.

Samsung Canada shares Galaxy A53 5G preorder details

Samsung has just unveiled its newest series of Galaxy A devices. And the one that'll make its way here first is the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G. It is available for preorder starting today, March 17, 2022, and for purchase beginning April 1, 2022. If you preorder, you get a free pair of Galaxy Buds Live. It will be available at Samsung.com/ca, Samsung Experience Stores, and major carrier and retail partner locations across Canada for $589.99. Samsung is only selling it in Awesome Black here. But it is also available in colours like Awesome Blue, Awesome White, and Awesome Peach.

Microsoft releases Xbox Cloud Gaming update on iOS to reduce input lag

Microsoft has brought its Xbox Cloud Gaming service to iOS back in June. But since it can only offer the service through Safari instead of a dedicated app, the experience isn't up to par with those on other platforms. And that's why Microsoft introduced a series of enhancements to improve overall performance for the iPhone and iPad. It optimized video output and network data transmission on iOS devices and found a way to reduce overall input lag. The latter will particularly be noticeable. 

It seems to be the best workaround Microsoft can offer right now, short of releasing a dedicated app. The company is restricted by Apple's policies on game streaming apps, so it had to bring the service through the web browser.
