CES 2026: Amazon Fire TV mobile app gets design refresh, too

While the Amazon Fire TV mobile application is often seen as a backup remote, Amazon revamped the smartphone app to give it more use. Similar to the Fire TV user interface redesign, the mobile version now lets you browse content, manage your watchlist and play titles on your TV. The free smartphone app can act as your second screen to discover what you should watch next or instantly add a friend's recommendation when you're out and about.

UPDATE: The mobile app refresh will come to the US first in February, with expansion into more countries expected throughout spring 2026.
