Amazon releases new Kindle Oasis with adjustable warm light for night reading

Amazon updates the Kindle Oasis to bring one feature some users might need—adjustable warm light. This lets you tweak the color tone of the screen to make it easier to read at night. With an upgraded E Ink technology, the pages also load quicker now. The battery is slightly bigger as well at 1,130mAh (it was previously 1,000mAh). Otherwise, the e-reader is the same. It has a 7-inch 300ppi E Ink display, IPX8 waterproofing, 8GB/32GB of storage, and it comes in Graphite or Gold. The Kindle Oasis is available for pre-order now, and it will be delivered on July 24^th. The 8GB model retails for CA$329.99, while the 32GB Wi-Fi model goes for CA$359.99. If you want cellular connectivity, the 32GB model has that option as well and this goes for CA$429.99.

Microsoft brings its Chromium Edge browser to Windows 7 and 8

Two months after Chromium Edge made its way to Windows 10, the browser is now available for testing on both Windows 7 and Windows 8. The company will be releasing daily Canary builds first with weekly Dev channel support coming soon. The installer is available over at Microsoft Edge’s Insider site. A lot of the features will stay the same. There will be support for Internet Explorer for enterprise customers coming as well as the new Collections feature to make it easier to collect information from the browser into a note. But there won’t be dark mode and support for AAD sign-in. Right now all iterations of it, including the macOS version, are still in testing. It isn’t clear yet when Microsoft plans to release this more broadly.

Niantic will officially launch ‘Harry Potter: Wizards Unite’ on June 21st

After testing it out in Australia and New Zealand, Niantic’s new augmented reality-based game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will start rolling out globally this Friday, June 21^st. As The Verge points out, it isn’t exactly clear how many markets will get the game during this launch date—especially with Niantic’s tweet saying to watch for more information “as the game goes live in your region soon.” Pokémon Go took a bit of time before it reached certain countries, so be prepared to wait for a bit.

Marvel is making a Hall H appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2019

After not showcasing anything at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is making a comeback this year. A pretty interesting move considering we don’t know what Disney’s MCU has planned after Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres this month. We’re most likely going to hear what the new slate is going to be for the coming year/s. Perhaps even footage from director Cate Shortland’s standalone Black Widow film. According to Collider, we might hear from The Eternals, Shang-Chi, and even a Doctor Strange sequel. We must also consider the Disney+ live-action series like Loki and Falcon & Winter Soldier, among other things. SDCC is about a month away, so the wait isn’t going to be long until we find out what the MCU is cooking up for us.
