Adobe is working on a full version of Photoshop for the iPad

Hoping to boost subscription sales and help on-the-go creatives (especially those working in the media and entertainment fields), Adobe is working on launching a full version of its Photoshop app for the Apple iPad. A report from Bloomberg claims the app will be launched at this year’s MAX creative conference in October and will hit the market sometime next year. As the report says, “Engineering delays could still alter that timeline.”

Adobe’s Chief Product Officer Scott Belsky confirmed that the company is working on a full, cross-platform iteration of Photoshop and its other apps but he won’t give a specific timeline when it comes to the release. When this launches, it will give users the ability to continue edits from one device to another. You could point out that existing apps have companion versions through the company’s Creative Cloud subscription service, but these apps are, as Bloomberg pointed out, based on “aging architectures with different underpinnings for each device.”

Original Mr. Fantastic in ‘Fantastic Four’ films wants a piece of the MCU action

20th Century Fox

If the Disney and 20th Century Fox deal pushes through, this could mean Fantastic Four can join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And one of its original actors wants to make the leap. Ioan Gruffudd, who played Mr. Fantastic or Reed Richards in the first two Fantastic Four films, wants to be part of the MCU. "I would love that," Gruffudd told Digital Spy. "I just don't know, in that universe, the Marvel world, would they let me play something else? I'm so renowned for Fantastic Four. But a couple of actors have [made the leap]." He’s referring to both Chris Evans and Michael B Jordan, who both played Human Torch or Johnny Storm, and are now known as Captain America and Killmonger, respectively.

"I'm sure for Marvel it was a tough decision to pick Chris to play that part [Captain America] because he'd already played one superhero, but what a brilliant decision it was, because he's wonderful," Gruffudd said. "And Michael B Jordan has played Johnny Storm and he's amazing in Black Panther as well, so there are precedents set. So, we'll see." If he could play someone else, Gruffudd said he’d want to be a villain. "Maybe [I could play] a baddie, this time? Now that I've established myself as somebody who can do that, that would be great," he said.

BlackBerry is launching an Android Oreo beta program for the KEYone, ahead of Android P release

First look: BlackBerry KEYone

It’s a strange announcement but if you have been waiting for it, then your wait is almost over. BlackBerry is bringing the Android Oreo update to the KEYone through an invite-only beta program. This is unusual timing, especially with Android P set to launch pretty soon (the latest is pegged at sometime next month). But if you do want to update your KEYone device, you can try your luck signing up here. BlackBerry hasn’t specified when the beta build will be coming to the testers.

As Android Authority points out, it’s stranger that the newer Key2 isn’t getting a beta program, which could mean that BlackBerry might just wanted to get feedback on the KEYone’s Oreo update instead of treating the beta program like an actual program.
