Facebook will actually let you see posts of your loved ones in new Feeds tab

Source: Meta

Facebook could actually be a place to stay in touch with your loved ones now. Meta is introducing a new Feeds tab "where you can see posts from your friends, groups, Pages, and more separately in chronological order." If that seems familiar, that was basically what Facebook was for before it focused on showing you curated content. This option will help you find what your friends and favourite accounts are up to.

This new Feeds tab is divided further into sections like Favourites, Friends, Groups, Pages, and more. This new tab has begun rolling out, but you might have to wait a bit if it hasn't shown up for you.

Netflix's ad-supported tier won't get full catalogue

Netflix continues to struggle with subscriber loss, with over 200,000 subscribers reportedly dropping the service earlier this year. One solution it's doing to regain viewers is through a new cheaper ad-supported option. But there is an added downside to the more affordable option. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed this new plan wouldn't have all of the platform's licensed content. Because this would require new deals with studios.

If you are subscribing to Netflix for its originals, you don't have to worry about them. This ad-supported tier will have all the shows and films. Sarandos claims the "vast majority of content" will be available at its launch. Netflix has partnered with Microsoft to assist with the "technology and sales" of this new tier, with Microsoft's platform being used for ads.

Spotify's Blend tool adds more artists

Source: Spotify

Spotify updated its Blend playlist feature to add more artists. The streaming service updated this tool to let you combine your music tastes with another Spotify user. In this case, it's used to "blend" with one of your favourite artists and get a personalized playlist that updates daily based on your listening habits. It launched with artists like BTS, Charli XCX, Lauv, Megan Thee Stallion, and more. The new update adds Lizzo, Post Malone, and The Chainsmokers.

It also allows you to buy merch from one of these artists. After you get your taste match score with an artist you "blended" with, you'll be encouraged to purchase featured merch via their Spotify Shopify page. According to Spotify, the artists selected all the merch on that page.
