Google Pixel 9 now supports Android-to-iPhone AirDrop file transfers

The Google Pixel 9 can now transfer files easily to Apple's ecosystem. AirDrop support for Quick Share is coming to the Pixel 9 range after it initially launched for the newest Pixel 10 devices in November. With AirDrop interoperability, you can transfer files to an iPhone, iPad and Mac without needing an internet connection. Both Pixel and Apple products will need to have the "Everyone for 10 Minutes" option enabled in their settings to allow for the transfer.

Apple introduces 'Charge Limits' in macOS Tahoe 26.4 to protect battery health

Apple is porting its iPhone-style Charge Limits feature to the Mac to help improve the battery health of its laptops. MacRumors reported that macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta shows a new slider bar that lets you set the charging level for your laptop between 80% and 100%.

macOS is also getting the Optimized Battery Charging option that keeps a Mac laptop from charging to 100% until it is needed. The feature learns from your daily routine to determine the best time to complete the charge. The feature is accessible through the System Settings app. Head to the Battery option and click on the "i" button next to Charging.

According to the company, the technology goes beyond simple playback, promising creators monetization tools while providing listeners with a high-fidelity viewing experience.
