Fido offers $10 off for 6 months to select customers of its $50/15GB 'winback' plan

Fido hopes to keep the customers it has won back by offering them a $10 discount for six months on their $50/15GB "winback" plan. A user on RedFlagDeals shared how they received a text message that reads: "Great news! We added a $10 discount off your monthly service fee for 6 months. This is an exclusive offer just for you to thank you for being a Fido customer. You don't have to do anything. This discount will start on your next bill." This deal means that for the next six months, the customers who received the notification will pay $40 for 15GB of data. It was probably meant to deter anyone who might be swayed by other carriers' Black Friday and other holiday deals.

Fujifilm update brings advanced gimbal controls to the X-T3 camera

Fujifilm is working with gimbal makers like DJI, Shenzhen Gudsen, and Zhiyung to bring granular control to the X-T3. An upcoming firmware update will allow you to start and stop video recording and control settings like aperture, exposure compensation, ISO, and shutter speed. With products like the Crane 2 and Ronin S/SC, you can use the focus control knob to control focus on the electronic lenses manually. While the update is mostly for gimbals, it can be used for certain DJI drones, too.

The update will also improve Fujifilm's eye AF tracking, auto-focus, and face-detection performance. The company said the update should arrive around mid-December.

Disney gives a dying fan and his family an early screening of 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'

Magician Sean Boon shares photo from the special screening

One Star Wars fan got to see the upcoming final film to the Star Wars saga. Disney CEO Robert Iger confirmed on Twitter that a British man with a terminal illness got to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker a few weeks ahead of its premiere. Rowans Hospice, in Hampshire, England, shared an image of a Disney representative who brought the film. The organization takes care of patients with life-limiting illnesses. Not much is known about the patient because he did not wish to be identified. But the whole thing started when Rowans Hospice employee Lisa Davies saw a Star Wars tattoo on the man's leg.

The patient saw the film with his two sons, wife, and two brothers. All of them had to sign a non-disclosure agreement before watching the movie on an iPad.
