Google users can now request to unlink revenge porn from its search engine

Google is joining the likes of Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter to put a stop to revenge porn circling on their portals. Google plans to scrub search results of “nude or sexually explicit images” that are shared without consent. But you’re going to have to request from Google to have these links removed, similar to the company’s existing form to request the removal of sensitive information.

“Our philosophy has always been that Search should reflect the whole web. But revenge porn images are intensely personal and emotionally damaging, and serve only to degrade the victims—predominantly women,” wrote Amit Singhal, SVP of Google Search, in a blog post released Friday.

Apple takes out original iPad mini from its online store

Apple has finally pulled the plug on the original, nearly three-year-old iPad mini and took it off the Apple Online Store this week. The iPad mini was announced back in October 2012 as the smaller alternative to the iPad. It has since been succeeded by the iPad mini 2 and mini 3. You might still be able to get your hands on the original iPad mini at third-party resellers but that probably will only last until leftover stocks run out.

‘Halo 5’ won’t launch with split-screen co-op, but ‘never say never’

Much to the dismay of some fans, Halo 5: Guardians will not come with split-screen cooperative play when it comes out. It’s a major change for the Microsoft-developed game as every other Halo console title came out with the feature. But according to Microsoft General Manager of Games Publishing Shannon Loftis, this doesn’t mean it won’t possibly get the feature in the future.

Loftis said in a meeting at E3, "The priority feature for the release of Halo 5 was 60fps, so that's what the team has been focused on delivering. But, you know, never say never. The glorious thing about Halo and about Xbox is that we can deliver continuous improvements to any experience. But, no announcements being made here." Again, she isn’t confirming that it will get split-screen co-op but she is talking of the possibility after the game is launched.
