WhatsApp comes to select Garmin smartwatches

Source: Garmin

Sleeping Pokémon aren't just the latest additions to Garmin smartwatches. The latest app supported on select wearables is Meta's WhatsApp. You can now quickly reply to chats by typing on a tiny keyboard, which supports emojis, on your smartwatch's screen or by using canned messages. However, there is no voice note support or the option to transcribe spoken audio to text.

According to Forbes, the app can show you your 10 most recent chats or group chats. It is also only supported on more recent Garmin devices. If your watch is supported, the app is available for download on the Garmin Connect IQ app store.

Microsoft plans to bring Gaming Copilot to 'current-generation' consoles

Source: Microsoft

Microsoft is looking to expand the reach of its Gaming Copilot AI assistant. GamesRadar reported that the company plans to bring the tech to "current-generation consoles" this year. As it stands, Gaming Copilot is available in beta on the PC, mobile and the ROG Xbox Ally.

The announcement was made by Sonali Yadav, product manager for Xbox's gaming AI partner group, at a Game Developers Conference panel, with the assumption being that the consoles refer to the Xbox Series X/S. However, Yadav did not specify which platforms the AI assistant would be available on, saying instead that they will "continue to bring it to more services that players are playing."

'Pokémon Sleep' comes to select Garmin smartwatches

Source: Garmin, Pokemon

In time for World Sleep Day, Pokémon Sleep now works with select Garmin smartwatches, so you can track your sleep while also learning about Pokémon sleep styles. As part of the launch, there are two Pokémon-themed watch faces you can get for free from the Garmin Connect IQ store: "Pokémon Sleep: Snorlax & Friends" and "Pokémon Sleep: I Choose You." These watch faces are reactive and rely on your Garmin Body Battery. So, if you're tired and your energy is low, the Pokémon on your wrist will look tired or change poses, too. At night, a random sleep style will be displayed on your watch face.

If you use the app and track your sleep between March 13, 2026 and November 1, 2026, you get 3 Poké Biscuits, which you can claim in the app's Gift Box within 90 days.
