RedMagic 11S Pro gaming phone with liquid cooling, 8,000mAh battery to debut internationally

RedMagic

RedMagic just debuted its newest powerful gaming phone in China, and it's getting an international release soon. The RedMagic 11S Pro, which T3 noted is an overclocked version of the 11 Pro, runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the company's RedCore R4 gaming processor. To ensure these chips run smoothly, RedMagic equipped the phone with a cooling system it calls AquaCore. The company pairs it with a 24,000rpm TurboFan, through-channel airflow design, a vapour chamber, and liquid metal technology.

Google teases first audio glasses at I/O 2026

Google

Google is taking another stab at smart glasses, but this time they're calling them "intelligent eyewear." The first iteration of this revived smart glasses line will be audio glasses made in collaboration with Samsung and Qualcomm, at least for the hardware side. On the design front, Google is working with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.

Tapping the side of the frames will provide instant access to Gemini. You can inquire about what you see, get turn-by-turn directions, answer calls and send texts, and take photos and videos, among others. Basically, Google is reviving its glasses project and is taking cues from Meta's success with its smart glasses. The company hasn't revealed when the glasses will be released, but we anticipate updates in the "coming months."

Google introduces an anti-doomscroll feature on Android

Google

A new Android feature called Pause Point hopes to help you stay off apps you find "distracting" or those that make it easy to doomscroll. When you indicate or label an app as distracting, Pause Point will require you to pause for 10 seconds each time you open the app to help deter mindless scrolling (if that's why you wanted to open it in the first place).

Aside from trying to dissuade you from doomscrolling, Pause Point can even be set to suggest other "healthier" alternatives, like your favourite fitness or audiobook apps, your favourite photos or even a simple breathing exercise. Pause Point requires you to restart your phone to turn the feature off, adding an extra resistance layer for getting into these distracting apps.

Insta360 Retro Viewfinder brings an old-school feel to the modern action cam

Insta360

The tiny Insta360 GO 3S will now work with an old tech-inspired accessory. The Insta360 Retro Viewfinder lets you pop in your Go 3S and frame your shots the "old school" way with its passive optical viewfinder. Without the digital screens, it forces you to shoot from the hip or chest and adopt a more "point-and-shoot mentality," as the company puts it.

That said, the Retro Viewfinder doesn't fully strip away the convenient digital features. By tapping on the case's custom NFC skin, you can change settings or see a live preview of what's happening on your phone. It'll bring you to the Insta360 app so you can make the changes you want.
