WhatsApp tests document sharing with Meta AI

Meta AI is currently offering a limited experience on WhatsApp. But that might change soon. In WhatsApp beta for iOS 26.20.10.72, the option to upload documents directly to Meta AI is currently being tested in the in-chat attachment menu. This feature, available on other AI-powered assistants, lets you upload the file you want Meta's AI assistant to analyze. Previously, users needed to take screenshots or send images to achieve a similar result.

As a beta feature, though, it is currently only available to some testers. And there is currently no guarantee that the feature will be released as an official functionality in the future.

Leaks of Samsung Galaxy Z Rollable patent surfaces

The latest patent leak of a potential Samsung device doesn't seem like too far-fetched an idea. The alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Rollable patent from tipster xleaks7 on X showed a device that slides out on one side, turning it from a typical slab phone into a book-style gadget reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold series. The camera island sits on the left side of the device, nestled inside a cutout that separates when the rollable device extends outwards.

As Android Central pointed out, Samsung previously showed off a Rollable Flex concept device at CES 2024, which was described as a phone with an "expandable display that can become up to five times larger than its original size." While we wonder about the durability of an actual Galaxy Z Rollable, it does give us a peek at what ideas Samsung is toying with—if the leak is true, that is.

CapCut to bring video and image editing tools to Google Gemini

You'll soon be able to use CapCut's video and photo editing features in Google Gemini. At least, that's what CapCut is promising with its new collaboration with Google. The companies haven't provided details on how a CapCut integration in Gemini will work. For now, all we know is that the Gemini app will be gaining access to CapCut features soon.

Some questions the partnership raises include what editing tools would be available, to what extent and whether you would need an active subscription on both or either service.

Ask YouTube adds support for conversational searches

YouTube is getting more of Google's AI tools. One of these features is being integrated into the Ask YouTube feature. This function has existed in the past, allowing users to ask Gemini questions about specific videos on the listing page. However, its newest iteration brings Ask YouTube to the search box.
