Google introduces new Pixel 11

Google launched the latest iteration of its Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 11 series. The base Pixel 11 model runs on the new Google-designed Tensor G6 (like the Pro models) and has more stripped-down hardware (unlike the Pro models). For one, it has a 6.3-inch 1080p+ LTPS OLED display and gets minor camera upgrades. The Pixel 11 now gets a larger 48-megapixel 1/1.56" sensor, paired with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide with a 120° lens (f/2.2) and a 1/3.1" sensor and a 5x 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera that supports up to 30x Super Zoom thanks to its processor. Its selfie camera is unchanged from its predecessor, which is a 10.5-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide 95° autofocus lens.

Report: Google's new notification light for Pixel 11 Pro to be called 'HiLight'

Google is said to be adding a multi-colour notification light on the back of the Pixel 11 Pro. While it was called Pixel Glow in Android 17 Beta 4, tipster Dylan Roussel (@evowizz) said the light will be called "HiLight." The feature acts similarly to Nothing Phone's Glyph lights, which display various colours to let you know what's happening with your device without having to flip it over.

According to the code found in the beta version of Android, the light will primarily be used for two purposes. One is to alert you when a favourite contact calls; the other is as visual feedback for when you interact with Google Gemini. It's unclear at this point if Google will allow the use of HiLight for third-party apps.

Nothing tipped to launch a new smartwatch under main brand

Nothing might already have more budget-friendly smartwatch options under its CMF brand, but the tech company might be looking to introduce a new wearable under its primary brand. Tipster @heyitsyogesh teased an upcoming smartwatch launch that will carry the "typical Nothing DNA," and it's said to debut in September with a price tag under $300 in the US (around $420 in Canada). The tipster claimed it will also come to "limited markets," as well.

Samsung promises 'reasonable price' for premium smart glasses

After quickly teasing its "intelligent eyewear" at Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung's Head of Extended Reality Research & Development Team, Choi Jae-in, shared more details about what to expect from its first smart glasses. One of the key points is that the wearable device will be priced at a "reasonable price" while being positioned as a premium product.
