Apple launches Invites event planning app

Apple has unveiled an app called Invites designed to streamline event planning within its ecosystem. The app allows Apple device owners to create custom event invitations, share links, and integrate shared photo albums and Apple Music playlists. Weather and Maps widgets are also included for planning and navigation.  

While an iCloud+ subscription is required to create invites, anyone, including Android users, can RSVP and access event details, albeit with a few extra steps. This move positions Apple to compete with platforms like Canva and newer event-planning apps like Partiful.

Just in time for Valentine's Day week, or weekend, OpenTable reveals the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada list. The list was compiled with 2024 data with over 900,000 diner verified reviews, along with diner ratings, reservation demand, and percentage of reviews using the tag "romantic" and other factors.
