Apple M5 chip-powered devices expected this week

We might see the new MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro with the latest Apple silicon released this week. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, we should expect the upgraded tablet, a new Vision Pro with a redesigned strap, and a base model MacBook Pro—all powered by the Apple M5. Apple isn't expected to hold an event. Instead, it'll just have online announcements like they did last year.

Report: Apple's rumoured foldable iPad gets delayed

A foldable iPad or Mac was being rumoured to be coming. But we might have to wait a bit more for that, at least according to GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu. He claims the larger foldable Apple device will take a while to reach the market, saying Apple delayed its release internally. However, Pu didn't specify how long the delay will be.

Apple's smart home hub is reportedly not coming out in 2025

If you've been waiting for Apple's take on the smart home hub, unfortunately, you'll have to wait one more year or so. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports the device is most likely coming out in 2026. The cause for the delay is Siri. The Apple Intelligence version of the voice assistant has been pushed back so far, so it makes sense that a device that would be heavily reliant on voice would be delayed.

Report: Apple might have trademarked 'homeOS' ahead of WWDC 2025

Apple's long-rumoured homeOS operating system might finally be launching, at least according to the trademark activity spotted by MacRumors.

The news site reports that an apparent shell company, Home Operations Suite LLC, has submitted trademark applications for "HOMEOS" in several countries over the past few months, including Liechtenstein, the US, Argentina, and Peru. The trademark is now registered in Liechtenstein, but the applications are still pending elsewhere.
