Report: Google delays Pixel 10 launch

Google was reportedly planning to launch the Pixel 10 series on the same day it launched the Pixel 9 devices. However, recent rumours claim the August 13 launch is not pushing through. Instead, Google is reportedly planning to introduce its new smartphones on August 20, with preorders expected to start after the event concludes.

The rumoured shipping date for the phone is August 28, which would coincide with in-store availability. Of course, at this point, the rumours are speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.

Nintendo warns against removing the Switch 2's screen protector

If you're picking up the new Nintendo Switch 2 when it comes out, one of the important things you need to do—or resist doing—is remove the applied film protector on the gaming console. Out of the box, the Switch 2 has a film layer on top of the display built to "prevent fragments scattering in the event of damage." This is in reference to a line in the Switch 2's European safety manual spotted by NintendoSoup.

Report: Samsung plans to integrate Perplexity's AI features into its devices

Samsung is reportedly nearing a comprehensive deal with Perplexity to add its artificial intelligence-powered search technology into Samsung devices, in a move that may help reduce its reliance on Google's services.

The companies are rumoured to be in private, active discussions to preload Perplexity's app and assistant on upcoming devices and add its search features to Samsung's web browser, Bloomberg reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
